Was upsc 2018 prelims really tough?

I happen to be amongst the generation of people who have done their graduation mostly by cramming up to the syllabus and scoring a 10 GPA since class 10th.
The problem is that this spoon feeding has damaged these people from inside.
They have absolutely no foundation of studying, the concept of sitting with books, giving undivided attention is alien to them.
Most of them can't get hold on their hormones during this age while others are busy replying to each and every text and notifications.
And mind you, these are the same people who want to revolutionize the governance, but with least efforts. They don't have even a single idea of pre and post independence of India, aloof from the India's economics, geography, political reigns they want to clear UPSC.
A service which demands you to be aware of the happenings, because it is required for that level of administration.
They want to become IAS / IPS/ IRS etc with almost no hard work.
Just like they used to fight with the teachers in school with their parents, for deducting marks on unsatisfactory answers, they want an easy route to success here too.

VAJIRAM AND RAVI IAS NOTES
Sorry but being a bureaucrat is not a cake walk. The challenge begins from the day 1 itself. From studying endlessly and making it to the list to finding a balance between your self conscience and making a hard and fast rule, it will test you inside out .
And now don't come up blaming the education system, because this year as well, we'll have an AIR 1,2,3.. so on.
There are others exams as well, if you want to be it as per the syllabus . Go try them, don't think UPSC will lower it's standard to fit in the mid level intellectuals.
A person who has attained something with hard work, can only value his achievements.
What is your next excuse?
