'm a 2017 batch IAS officer.

I'm anonymous for obvious rationale and this response will probably likely be a eye opener or I'd say.

What is something that UPSC toppers won't tell anyone?

I've tons of IAS buddies a few are here just to market.

But before they were mentioned by by after what and each, Allow Me to show you -

They state this to crack UPSC CSE, you'll need to research 10--12 hours for 1.5 decades, without requiring any day rest, not fulfilling friends, locking up yourself in a space, not becoming involved in any rather social gathering.
Currently the truth is, even for a person, it's physically not possible to research for 10 hours every day for 1.5 years without even requiring any break or becoming involved in almost any social gathering or never fulfilling friends. Allow me to tell you, you'll get mad.

People are social creatures. Should they don't socialise for 1.5 year and just research for 10 hours every day, following 1 month or so, nothing can go within their mind. I'm telling you, you are going to go insane.

Truth is 6--8 hours of concentrated study daily is more than sufficient. 2 hours paper + 4 hours inactive - this combo can not be beaten by anything. This ai not tiring, and you could delight in the procedure. It would be troublesome.

people who provide those disputes are still all lying.

A number of these have written books on CSE that actually are entirely useless and parts of shit.
Truth is, you follow specific regular textbook religiously, read papers daily and you're going to sail through.
Do not read these lame novels written from these brand new IAS officers. The majority of them are only craps


In the lastI would say, follow a regular, spend 6--8 hours every day every day. You don't have to be isolated since they claim to get done, no necessity to never meet you don't have and buddies to study as a pig you are going to be tired and a lot of folks give up.

So long as you're analyzing frequently for 6 hours daily, enough. Just be routine and stop after these folks kindly

You know what, its the very common question.  Jisai bhi IAS ki taiyari karni hai usai Vajiram and Ravi Definately pata hai!! well,  let me tell you facts a. Economy and Polity portion is well covered and provides adequate base for both pre and mains. b. In history ancient and culture part coverage is abysmal and although Ojha sir's classes (modern history) are entertaining he tends to skip some topics and/or provide  ephemeral coverage - but the classes are really good and what he covers you tend to remember for long periods. c. This is the most important question one always keep thinking about during upsc preparation. The reason being that too much or less of material will equally create challenges in your preparation. Read:-  top IAS coaching in Delhi joined by the toppers Moreover,  choosing the right sources and revision of these resources is the most crucial part of your preparation. HOW MANY SEATS UPSC WILL RELEASE THIS YEAR 2019?

Well as of now we all are waiting for the number of seats UPSC will release this year. Few people are saying there will be very less seats. Few people are saying there will be seats in UPSC examination like previous year that has 900 to 1000. Taking into account the previous 4–5 years data , around 180 candidates have been short listed to join IAS out of around 1000 total selected. But with the regular decrease in the total no. of vacancies,[ like for year 2018 its only 782 seats ] one can fairly decrease the number of IAS posts also. Life is tough if you are from general category and aspire to join IAS as 1st choice. In that case you must secure rank within 70–80. although its only a calculation of mine but believe me, hoping to get IAS by securing a lower rank than this can only be a miracle and that too specially in 2018.
